Service 03, Rodents & exclusion

Trapping without sealing is a subscription.

Roof rats come in at the roof line, not the floor. If the hole stays open, the next rat moves into the space the last one left.

Sealing a roof-line gap or a set trap in an attic

What you will see

Scratching or running above a bedroom ceiling just after dark. Droppings in the garage or along a beam. Gnawed mangoes and avocados in the yard. A chewed corner on a box that came down from the attic.

What it means

Roof rats are climbing a tree, a fence or a downspout and entering at the soffit, a lifted roof tile or the A/C chase. They are not coming from a sewer and they are not a sign of anything you did. They nest, and then there are more of them.

What we do

Trapping inside the attic and garage first, so nothing is sealed in. Then exclusion: every entry point closed with material a rat cannot chew through. Then a follow-up visit to confirm the traps are empty and the seals held.

REPLACE: confirm whether attic sanitation / insulation cleanup is offered
