What the houses are like
Shared walls carry shared plumbing, and a German roach population lives in the warm gap around a pipe chase, not in the kitchen it appears in. The unit that calls us is often the cleanest one on the block, which is a hard thing to hear and worth saying plainly. Fixing it means treating the void and the run of units where we can, and telling the association what we found where we cannot.
How the year runs here
Roaches here are indoor and therefore year-round, with a rise in the humid months when the void behind the tile stays warm all night. Ants arrive in the wet season along the shared slab. What almost never turns up is a big yard problem, because there is almost no yard, and that changes what a sensible treatment looks like.
